I don't think there's anything in the world that is 100% safe for everyone. Flaxseed oil is a product derived from plants and so would naturally suggest it would not prove to be worrisome in any way.
The problems and potential side effects may occur when someone consumes too much flaxseed oil i.e. more than two tablespoons per day. The most common result of doing so is diarrhea or loose stools.
Further and more serious side effects may result if consumption is continually increased. I have published an article that explains these common and potentially more serious side effects of flaxseed oil.

Flaxseed Oil – Frequently Asked Questions
I am a 55 year old male.
I used to get a migrane at least once a month for many years lasting for 3-4 days and no medication helped. I have been around the block with doctors and pain killers.
On 8 NOV 2011 I started to take flaxseed softgel Capsules daily.
Up to today 18 Jan 2012 I have had no migranes or any type of head-ache.
I also use to take a short nap during the day but feel that I dont need it any more as I dont feel drowzy as I used to.
Thats really interesting to hear Chris. New medical benefits using flaxseed oil are being uncovered all the time, and it seems like its health properties just keep growing!
